Radetsky March | Jonathan Scott | YouTube | 2021 | Marcussen & Son (1996), Bridgewater Hall, Manchester |
Nice idea! I too watch to the Vienna broadcast. Your choice of the Radetsky March on Bridgewater concert organ is right on. The style, not the instrument, makes the recording. Fats Waller used a church organ for some of his work.
Thanks, James. I especially liked that Radetsky March because the tempo was spot on plus, of course, the magnificent sound. And I’m also a big fan of the Fats Waller/Trinity Church recordings on the Estey.
